Micro Channel Heat Pipes

With increased e-mobility comes a greater demand for battery charging solutions. Calyos' new Micro Channel Heat Pipes (MCHP) will allow for better ultra-fast charging which is critical for getting consumers to choose electric vehicles. The MCHPs are a new form of heat pipes that can be embedded inside battery packs in order to assist with heat transfer inside the packworks. Like a traditional heat pipe, they vaporise the fluid in direct contact with the cells, which transports the heat to the top of the heat pipe in contact with a water cold plate. The MCHPs provide a better extraction of the heat produced by a battery pack, particularly during fast-charging/discharging.
